Popsicle Stick Bridge “Busting”

We finished last week with some fun “Popsicle Stick Bridge Busting”. Once again we had some amazing volunteers make this happen. Thank you Felix Pietila and Stan Hartley for volunteering to make this happen (and Libby for tracking the data)! Thank you to our amazing PAC for providing prizes. Finally, thank you Ms Baytaluke for the many, many years you have been teaching these great engineering skills to our students!

Rob Stiles – Wheelchair Activities

Elementary Track Meet

Congratulations to our awesome competitors for a job well done. We had 18 placements this year, which is one of our best showings. Here are some results:

Long jump: Annabelle 8th, Kyla 11th, Nyxen 23, Sophia 21, Cameron 23.

High Jump: Noah 7th, Vanessa 5th, Rylan 3rd, Sasha 9, Lincoln 11, Arwen 4th, Annabelle 12th.

60m Dash: Sophia 5th, Vanessa 3rd.

100m Dash: Vanessa 8th, Noah 7th

200 m Dash: Rylee 6th

Ball Throw: Rylee 22nd

Exposition of Learning – Day Two

Our grades 3-6 students presented some fantastic “Favourite Animal” and “Passion Projects” today to the entire school, as well as parents/caregivers. Thank you to the many folks who joined us to learn about the great work our students are doing. Also, thank you to our many secondary students for volunteering to set up and take down tables. Below are some pictures I took…I don’t think I was able to get all of the students, but we still have more to download from other staff. Go HAWKS Go!

Earth Day Clean up – Jump Rope For Heart

Our Earth Day Clean up and Jump Rope for Heart events went very well. A big thank you to the District of HH for helping us by providing clean up supplies, and for picking up all of the bags we left around town.
